Alicia Seminario Sales
Administrative Assistant, Cultural Advisor
Alicia is from Piura, Peru. She has lived in Paraíso Alto for 24 years. She has worked as a project supervisor for Machu Picchu Stars, SAC. All her four children and one of her three grandchildren have participated in Rurapuk programs throughout the years.
Didi A. Muktivrata
Executive Director, AMURT
Didi Ananda Muktivrata is a yogic nun originally from the United States. She studied meditation and yoga philosophy in India in the 1980s. Since that time, she has been working in education and social service projects in Japan, Taiwan, Brazil and Peru.
Jesús Vila
program developer
Jesús is from Lima, Peru. He studied in the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú where he has worked as an assistant professor of philosophy since 2012. His specialty is conceptual systems consultation for both businesses and social projects. His current research explores how philosophy can be used in education.
Mahajoy Laufer
director
Mahajoy is from the USA and grew up in Western Massachusetts. In 2015 she came to Peru to volunteer in Rurapuk teaching dance and English. Mahajoy graduated with her Master’s in Social Work from Smith College and is a Licensed Independent Social Worker.
Our Board
Rurapuk is an initiative under the association Ananda Marga Universal Relief Team (AMURT), managed by the 5-member Board based in Lima, Peru. The association was created in 2006 with social and philanthropic aims to improve the social conditions of marginalized groups in Lima.
